Hey People!

This is my Artist Statement and my journey in Art 4.

Artist Statement

I like to see people happy. The world is so polarized right now, so many issues going on that cannot be fixed; I want my artwork to evoke some sense of nostalgia and imagination in people. Even though it won’t help all of the issues in our world, just for a moment, people could stop and forget our hatred and ignorance. I want my work to have people reminisce and go back to the days where life was more simple.

I’m the type to be “go big or go home.” I pick the materials based on what’s around me and how I’m feeling at the moment. I get bored of realism, and would rather try to escape the reality we live in. My artistic choices are spontaneous—there's never a limit, and there's always room for more. It’s all about experimenting and trying out new things, new materials. I tend to drift across mixed media and techniques to learn something new. Each choice I make is a response to both my inner vision and the world around me.

My work currently centers around comic books and graffiti. For the past two years, I’ve worked in digital art and graphic design, so my art has shifted to have more graphics. I grew up with a lot of comic books and cartoons. My goal is to capture the joy and excitement I felt as a kid and translate that into fresh, engaging artwork. I want my characters to feel alive, as if they’ve stepped out of the pages of a comic or an animated world. Beyond nostalgia, I aim to push artistic boundaries by experimenting with style, composition, and storytelling. Through my art, I want to challenge myself to push boundaries and discover new artistic possibilities, while also doing what I enjoy.
