Process Post - Project #7
For this project, I wanted to do a banner based on the Bad Bunny Superbowl performance and the levis billboard during it that said, "The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate is Love." For this project, I originally was going to make it on a canvas like I usually do, so Coach's idea of making it like an actual protest banner was out of my comfort zone. When I was making the banner, it was rough because it was originally a twin size mattress cover. It was so long and kind of a pa

Process Post #5-6
I decided to do something a little bit different than what I've been doing recently. I decided to be more openly political with this one, which I wasn't sure was a good idea because I was scared what others would think or if the school would even let me hang it. But I wanted to focus more on content, and specifically gun addiction. I was doing this because I noticed the increase in gun violence in schools, allowed to happen as a result of our lack of gun laws. In my art piece

Process Post - Project #4
I started off this project after my Asian art one. In my Asian one, I wrote it in Vietnamese to connect it back to my culture and background. I didn't have the same connection for this, but I talked to other students and teachers, read a book, and took the stuff I learned in former classes and my AP AFAM class to make this work. I made this piece to continue off of my theme of minorities who made up America in these American propaganda posters. I really liked making this one.

Art 5 Figure Drawing
I think I have gotten much better in figure drawing than last year. I have a greater grasp of anatomy and value as showed in the picture above. Last year was my first year doing figure drawing, so my concept of proportions wasn't the best. I think since I've been working in dynamic poses a lot since past year, it has drastically improved my skills. My style of posing and figures is more comic-book like where body proportions tend to be exaggerated, which may have been helpful

Art 5 Process #2
This year, I wanted to have more of a specific theme or stance in my works. Last year in art 4, I didn't really know what I was doing; I was going for a comic book or pop art style with a focus on typography, but now I wanted to gear it towards something I'm passionate in. I started off with imagination or connection last year, so in this work, I'm still tying that back in, taking inspiration by contemporary artists and rioters, but from a pop lense. My art piece, or summer p
