Process - Home Project

This is the current idea I had for my Home Project. For my summer project, one of my concepts were with dragons, because I really loved dragons growing up (still do today) and wanted to go back to that idea, again with the childhood nostalgia thing. I sketched it out on illustrator, but I think this would look really cool in person. I wanted to have two paintings for this artwork, and combine the 2d and 3d elements throughout the two canvas. I don't know yet if I want to go for a more realistic style or a more cartoonish style like my second project though. To make the process with 3d more easier, I think I'll do paper mache instead of clay again. Last time, I used air-dry clay, but I'm not sure if that was the best option. Plus, paper mache is much more lighter and easier to put on canva than clay. The other issue is making the whole dragon head with paper because at least with clay you can sculpt it. I'm also not sure about the background, but I kind of want something with space because I really liked space when I was younger too, but I might change that. I just started to find paper rolls for the twists and turns of the dragon (this time I'm making a Eastern dragon instead of Western like my Summer project), but the process is quite challenging. Sophia recommended making an armature for the last project, so it gave me the idea to use my arm to help create the body of the dragon. I'm not fully sure how that will work though, or if its the best idea of putting a bunch of glue and paper on my arm, but still, I think this will be really fun to make.
