The artwork on the left is the middle of my project. I wanted to go for a comicbook style theme, like how when we were kids, we used to imagine being superheros and having powers. This ties in to the childhood nostalgia and imaginations a kid has. I decided to work on painting everything else before the face, which in hindsight, might not have been the best idea. The background here looks lackluster, but I don't want to incorporate the typical clouds in the sky because that just feels too boring. I think the text pops out pretty nicely, but the body itself feels like its missing something.

This is near the end of my second project. This is when I haven't incorporated the 3d element with the painting. I wanted to give tribute to the old style of comics, where the comic printing process involved colors being put as circles. I wanted to add some of that to the work, but still incorporate more of my own style. I also wanted to add sharp lines in the background to make the main figure out out more. I added some shading to the clothes, which I kept to be basic with the classic white shirt, blue jeans, so that anyone can relate to this childish imagination. I plan on repainting parts of it to be more defined in the final draft. This is my final draft of my work. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I did mess up with the circles on accident, so I ended up making more circles around the head, but I kind of like how that turned out. Like Bob Ross said, they are just happy accidents. The colors and style worked out better than I thought it would be. Although, I wish I could have had more time to repaint more coats on the clothes and the hand. I think movement and composition could still be worked on too I definitely need to focus more on figure drawing, just to get the proportions right because I was really struggling with that and to have more seamless transitions between 3d and 2d.
