Oura Sananikone is an artist who's very comic inspired. His work is characterized by a vibrant and energetic style, often blending elements of graffiti and street art with playful, cartoon-like imagery. Sananikone utilizes a diverse array of materials and techniques in his art. His portfolio includes risograph and silkscreen prints, which are known for their bold colors and textures.

A lot of his work is inspired by the things around him or the stuff he watches, like his piece with Transformers. He's also made toys and sci-fi comics. Since highschool, he was still on his career path of being an artist and create action figures, which is cool to see because I feel like most people don't know what they want to do in highschool. Originally his intent with his comics wasn't supposed to be personal, but then he added elements of the Vietnam War for example, going for a more emotional connection to the audience. Sananikone also made superhero comics, about failed heroes, but points out how it's a reflection of his own art. He finally talks about his own ideas of being an artist, how it's good to talk to other artists and look around the world. Looking at his work and seeing how dynamic and interesting his style is, I want to experiment with that process too.
