My person is Liam Weis. He is also known as the spray paint guy on the internet.

He's known for spray painting people's clothes around Richmond. Weis is a student of VCU, but travels often. While he's located here, he has murals from Richmond, NYC, LA, etc.
At Armstrong Highschool, he helped to coordinate the Armstrong Center of Empowerment. He says that he helps kids to express themselves after school, teaching art and helping them to overcome their struggles. The ACE is known for specifically decreasing youth violence.

Liam Weis, when he does spray paint, he doesn't really use a stencil, but does it come the mind. "Go with the flow." When I asked to interview, I was originally unsure if he would answer, since he was pretty well-known. But he answered really fast, within a couple hours, and we were ready to go.
At the time of this blog post, I have not interviewed him yet since he has been traveling around a bit, but some of my questions for him were about how to target youth violence and how to support these kids in these spaces. I was also going to ask how he comes up with the ideas for spray painting and the confidence to make these clothes and ask strangers to make it for them. Knowing me, I could never do such a thing and I definitely would have to use a stencil.
