His art is really cool, especially to me since I live and breathe comics. My art style in class has been leaning graffiti and comic pop art, so his techniques and reasoning behind his pieces have been helpful for my own process.
Matthew started making comics since 2023 winter break to the beginning of this school year. He originally wanted his comics with color, but Coach told him to consider black and white. His goal was four panel comics, incorporating humor within his cartoons.

His work at the beginning also incorporated cartoonish themes, but were more simple without much words or dialogue. I like the cow one because the cows look funny. It gives me, "no thoughts, head empty" vibes, which is me everyday.
His most recent works have been textile style work, while still having a cartoonish theme. One of his artworks was made during the election, with chameleons facing each other with different colors, with a single purple chameleon. I think that's powerful, it's so simple but it represents the polarization in our country.
His work has overall been really cool to look at, as someone who loves cartoons, I think it's really nice.
