Figure Drawing

Figure drawing was definitely a new experience for me. In digital art, we never really had to draw a figure, let alone sketch someone in front of us. We just had to edit and form art and typography using Photoshop and Illustator. With figure drawing, you couldn't edit your mistakes and was more about going with the flow. I definitely learned how to improve anatomy and how to make faces proportional to the body using searching lines.

I couldn't get the ones we did during the class, but here are the ones I did after learning figure drawing.

Overall, I'll say its a huge improvement to how I drew bodies prior to Art IV, and it was genuinely fun to explore new materials and see how others drew and interpreted the same pose. I think it will come in handy once we really get into bigger projects this year.
