Noelani involves herself in a lot of artworks involving fibers and wool. She seems to be inspired a lot by nature and her environment, so I wonder if changing residencies as often as she does help her artwork. I wonder how long it takes for her to do her pieces, since Noelani's weaves are physical and are quite long. I also question how she manages to achieve this many exhibits while doing art part-time. Noelani works with natural dyes and tends to make her own dye, like her exhibits involving raspberry canes and pine needles. Noelani emphasizes the importance of organic materials, and that everything can be woven and be in a thread. She conveys how these threads tell a story. She also works as a teacher at the Visual Arts Center, where even her students work with woolen materials. I would definitely like to go there sometime to experience that!
