Lunchtime Lecture #2: Dan Kanach

Dan is a design team manager and animator. He emphasizes how design makes you think about the multiple uses the object could have. Art also makes you think but it does not have a use. Dan has done a bunch of jobs, like coaching lacrosse and being an English teacher, but I wonder why he chose to do design and animation now. I also wonder if he has worked with any huge and famous animation companies. His job reminds me of my cousin who also works in animation and works with Nickelodeon. Dan talks a lot about just participating in everything and keep going, and not comparing yourself to others. I think his lesson fits anything challenge or obstacle in life, not just for art. Dan also talks about keeping track about how long your art/logo takes you. He gave a lot of insigntful advice for future art shows and I'll definitely keep them in mind!
